Sending Crypto from Robinhood
Sending crypto from Robinhood is a very easy process. All you need to do is go to your Robinhood account , select the asset you want to send, enter the amount, and then select the wallet you want to send it to. That’s it! In this article, we’ll walk you through the process step-by-step so you can get started sending crypto from Robinhood right away.
Go to the Accounts tab
From the Accounts tab, select the Crypto tab. Locate the coin you want to withdraw and select Withdraw below its name. Alternatively, you can tap Withdraw from the icon next to the coin.
Select the cryptocurrency you want to send
1. Go to yourAccounts page.
2. Tap the cryptocurrency you want to send.
3. Select Withdraw from the options menu that appears.
4. Tap Send from the options menu that appears, then select a destination for your cryptocurrency withdrawal.
Select the asset you want to send by tapping or clicking on it. Tap or click the Send button. You will be prompted to enter the amount you’d like to send. After you have reviewed and confirmed all of the transaction details, tap or click Send
Enter the amount you want to send
When you go to send your cryptocurrency, you will first need to enter the amount you wish to send. Again, make sure that you are sending the correct currency type to the correct wallet address. If you enter an incorrect wallet address, your cryptocurrency may be irretrievably lost. Next to the amount field, you will see a slider. You can use this slider to quickly set the amount of cryptocurrency you wish to sell. If you drag the slider all the way to the right, this will represent 100% of your available cryptocurrency balance.
Select the destination for your cryptocurrency
In order to send your cryptocurrency from Robinhood to another wallet, you’ll need to first select the destination for your crypto. To do this, head over to the “Transfer” page under the “Account” tab.
Once you’re on the “Transfer” page, select the wallet that you’d like to send your cryptocurrency to. You can either select a wallet that’s already been created or you can create a new one.
Once you’ve selected the destination for your crypto, enter the amount that you’d like to send and hit “Continue.”
Tap or click Continue
On the sending screen, confirm your payment details then tap or click Continue. You may need to verify your identity with a one-time passcode.
If you have Two-Factor Authentication enabled on your account, you’ll be asked to enter the code generated by your authenticator app. If you don’t have Two-Factor Authentication enabled, you’ll be asked to enter the code sent to your email.
Review the transaction details
Before you hit the Send button, make sure to review the transaction details. This includes the amount you’re sending, the currency, and the recipient’s wallet address. Once you hit Send, the transaction cannot be reversed.
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
-We only support sending crypto from your Robinhood Crypto account to another Robinhood Crypto account. To transfer crypto to an external wallet, first sell your crypto on Robinhood Crypto, then withdraw those funds into your Robinhood account. From there, you can withdraw them to your bank account.
-The total value of all submitted withdrawals must be less than or equal to your available cash balance in your Robinhood Financial account. This includes any pending deposits.
-You’ll need to have a balance of at least 0.001 cryptocurrency units in order to send that currency outside of Robinhood. For example, if you wanted to send Ethereum (ETH), you’ll need a minimum ETH balance of 0.001 ETH in order for the transaction to go through.
Tap or click Send
Sending crypto from Robinhood is easy. To get started, tap the icon for the cryptocurrency you want to send in your Crypto account, then tap or click Send below the chart.
You can also tap or click the name of the cryptocurrency in your portfolio, then tap or click …more and select Send from the options menu.
Enter the amount you want to send and confirm the transaction. That’s it!
Withdrawing Crypto from Robinhood
Sending cryptocurrency from Robinhood is a very easy process. Withdrawing crypto from Robinhood is also easy, but there are a few things you need to know before you do it. In this article, we will cover how to withdraw crypto from Robinhood.
Go to the Accounts tab
In the Accounts tab, scroll down to Crypto. Tap the withdrawal you’d like to make.
For standard withdrawals, we’ll initiate the ACH transfer to your linked bank account, which will take 4-5 business days. For Instant withdrawals, funds will be deposited into your US-based bank account within 30 minutes.
Certain types of Robinhood Financial accounts are not eligible for Instant deposits, including but not limited to IRAs and certain margin accounts.
Select the cryptocurrency you want to withdraw
1. Go to the Portfolios tab and select Withdraw Robinhood Crypto from your profile icon dropdown menu.
2. Select the crypto you’d like to withdraw and enter the amount.
3. Tap Continue to review your transaction details, then tap Withdraw {crypto} to complete the transaction. Your crypto will typically be sent within 1-2 business days after your transaction is processed.
With Robinhood Crypto, you can withdraw your crypto funds to an external wallet. To do so:
1. Tap or click the Withdraw button
2. Select Withdraw to Wallet
3. Choose the amount and asset you’d like to withdraw and tap or click Withdraw
4. Enter the wallet address associated with your external account and tap or click Submit Withdrawal
Before you make a withdrawal, please check that the receiving address is correct and that it supports the asset type you’re withdrawing. Withdrawals usually take 1-3 business days to process. Each network has different transaction times, so please check the estimated time of arrival for your particular asset.
Enter the amount you want to withdraw
1.Open your app and tap the icon in the top left corner.
2.Tap Crypto on the Account page.
3.Tap Withdraw below the coin you want to withdraw.
4.Enter the amount you want to withdraw and tap Continue in the upper right corner of the screen. If you need to, tap the arrows next to Wendell or Enter Another Amount to see your cryptocurrency balance in other denominations.
5.A message will pop up confirming that you want to initiate the withdrawal from Robinhood Crypto to an external wallet. Tap Withdraw after you’ve reviewed this information carefully. Please make sure that you’re sending your cryptocurrency to a wallet that supports that coin type—we currently support Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum Classic, Litecoin, Dogecoin, and Bitcoin SV for withdrawals. Depending on Green Dot bank availability, it may take 1-3 business days for your ACH transfer to deposit into yourExternal Wallet
Select the destination for your cryptocurrency
Before you can withdraw your cryptocurrency from Robinhood, you’ll need to select the destination for your cryptocurrency. You can either withdaw to your own personal wallet or to a different crypto exchange.
If you’re withdrawing to your own personal wallet, you’ll need to provide us with your wallet address. Make sure that you double-check the address before submitting a withdrawal request, as we cannot reverse or cancel a withdrawal once it has been initiated.
If you’re withdrawing to another crypto exchange, you’ll first need to link that exchange account to Robinhood. Once your exchange account is linked, you’ll be able to select it as a destination for withdrawal. Please note that we currently only support withdrawals to exchanges that offer trading against USD pairs (e.g. Coinbase Pro, Bittrex, Kraken).
Tap or click Continue
1. In the Crypto section of your Robinhood app, tap or click the orange Transfer button in the upper right-hand corner.
2. Tap or click Withdraw from Robinhood at the bottom of your screen.
3. Select Withdraw Crypto.
4. Enter the amount you’d like to withdraw and tap or click Confirm Withdrawal.
5. Review the information, then tap or click Confirm Withdrawal again to complete the transaction. Your withdrawal will appear in your External Account within 5-7 business days.
Review the transaction details
Before you finalize your transaction, review the details to make sure everything looks correct. If everything looks good, hit “Confirm.”
You’ll be prompted to enter your 4-digit Robinhood Pin or Touch ID.
Once you confirm the transaction, it’ll be queued for processing. Crypto can take up to 48 hours to settle.
Tap or click Withdraw
In the example below, we’re withdrawing Bitcoin (BTC) from Robinhood to an external wallet. The process for withdrawing other cryptocurrencies is similar.
1. Go to your Crypto page.
2. Tap or click Withdraw in the upper-right corner of the screen.
3. Tap or click BTC in the upper-left corner of the screen (you can also withdraw other cryptocurrencies).
4. Select an amount ortap or click MAX to withdraw all available BTC. You can also enter a custom amount.
5. Tap or click Withdraw when you’re ready to confirm your transaction details and settings (fees, address, comments, etc.).
6. If everything looks good, review your transaction details and tap or click Withdraw again to finalize your transaction!
