What is Metamask?

Metamask is a digital wallet that allows you to store, send, and receive cryptocurrency. It is a browser extension that is available for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Brave. Metamask is considered to be a secure way to store cryptocurrency because it uses a seed phrase to generate private keys and stores them locally on your device.

How to Send Crypto from Coinbase to Metamask

In order to send crypto from Coinbase to Metamask, you will need to first connect your Coinbase account to Metamask. Once you have done that, you will be able to send crypto from your Coinbase account to your Metamask account.

Step One: Log in to Coinbase and go to “Accounts”

The first thing you need to do is log in to your Coinbase account and go to the “Accounts” page. On this page, you will see all of the different cryptocurrencies that Coinbase supports. Find the one that you want to send (in this case, Ethereum) and click on the “Send” button.

Step Two: Enter the amount of Ethereum you want to send

Now, you will need to enter the amount of Ethereum that you want to send. You can either enter it in fiat (USD) or in cryptocurrency. In this example, we will enter it in USD.

Step Three: Enter your Metamask wallet address

Now, you will need to enter your Metamask wallet address. You can find this by clicking on the “Accounts” tab and then selecting the “Metamask” option.

Step Four: Confirm the transaction

Once you have entered all of the relevant information, click on the “Confirm” button. This will bring up a popup window where you can review all of the details of the transaction. Make sure everything looks correct and then click on the “Confirm” button again.

Step Two: Select the Wallet you want to Send From

The first thing you need to do is navigate to the “Accounts” tab on Coinbase and select the wallet you want to send from. For this example, we are going to assume that you are sending from your Coinbase account.

Once you are on the “Accounts” page, locate the wallet you want to send from on the left-hand side of the screen. In this example, we are going to assume that you are sending from your “BTC Wallet”.

Click on the wallet that you want to send from and then click on the “Send” button located at the top of the page.

Step Three: Copy the Wallet Address

The easiest way to copy your wallet address is by clicking the clipboard icon to the right of the box. This will copy your address to your clipboard, which you can then paste into the “To Address” field in Coinbase.

If you’re having trouble copying your wallet address, you can also click the “Show QR Code” button to generate a QR code. You can then scan this QR code using your smartphone’s camera and Coinbase will automatically populate the “To Address” field with your wallet address.

Step Four: Paste the Wallet Address into Metamask

The fourth and final step is to paste your Metamask wallet address into the “Recipient Address” field on Coinbase and hit “Send.” Your transaction should process within a few minutes. Once it’s complete, you can head over to Metamask and see that your transaction has processed and your new balance is reflected.

Step Five: Select the Amount you want to Send

1.In the “To:” field, paste your Metamask receiving address.
2.In the “Amount:” field, enter how much you want to send. You can also click the “Max” button to automatically fill in the amount of the chosen currency you have in your Coinbase Wallet.
3.Click “Continue”.
4.Select your payment method if prompted (e.g., debit card, bank account) and enter any required information.
5.Review the transaction details and click “ConfirmBuy”.
6.”Completed” will appear once your transaction is successful!

Step Six: Click “Send”

Enter the amount of crypto you’d like to send in the “Amount” field. Be sure to include the appropriate cryptocurrency ticker symbol next to the amount (e.g. 1.5 ETH). If you’d like to include a note with your transaction, you can do so in the “Message” field. When you’re ready, click “Send”.

Coinbase will now generate a pop-up window with all of the details of your transaction. Be sure to double check that everything looks correct, then click “Confirm”.

Once you confirm the transaction, Coinbase will provide you with a transaction ID (TXID). You can click on this TXID to be taken to a page that shows all the details of your transaction on the blockchain.
